Arbitration is the process of settling your disputes through a neutral arbitrator – like a Judge – who hears both sides of a matter and makes a binding decision which resolves the matter. An arbitration award can be entered as a judgment in a court case filed to enforce the arbitration award. Advantages of using an arbitrator include allowing the parties to select the arbitrator, to ensure he/she has the knowledge and experience to decide the case, and also having the matter resolved more quickly than a lawsuit.
