Obamacare’s CLASS Act and long term care benefit scrapped

I understand that HHS has suspended, and Congress is planning on scrapping, the CLASS act portion of Obamacare that was to provide long term care in nursing facilities for those who would need it. The reason given that it was financially unsustainable as written which brings home the point that medical care, including the $7,000 to $10,000 a month people can pay for nursing home care, is also on a financially unsustainable path. Although expensive, people should consider purchasing long term care policies as a part of their elder law and estate planning.
